Newark Ohio February 19 Sheriff Roe Francis seeks the return of Mr and Mrs Jack and Smith to face charges of property conversion and grand larceny. They are accused of fleecing residents of 3000 dollars while Mrs Smith posed as a medium at Buckeye Lake last summer. They also allegedly took 300 dollars worth of furnishings from a Buckeye Lake cottage.
First returns show about 88,000 AFL International Typographical Union members voting nationwide on strike assessments. The proposal to increase funding for strikes won by a wide margin.
Russellville sheriff says Beck Robison 35 was shot dead during a gun battle on the Russellville high school grounds. Woodrow Underwood 43 and John W. Jeffers were wounded in the legs. Underwood charged with second degree murder and released on $10,000 bond.
Nine inmates planned a dawn escape at the Fairburn stone prison in Georgia using dynamite dust hidden in shoes. Warden M F Tyree said a blast broke ten windows, wounded a prisoner named Cornelius Thomas and shook the yard. Gangs led by Orange Jones James Rutledge and Willie L Clark were named among ringleaders. six others unnamed.
In Macon Georgia on February 19 a 42 year old man pleaded guilty to family mistreatment for sexual relations with his pregnant 14 year old stepdaughter. Superior Judge Mallory C Atkinson sentenced him to seven to ten years noting biblical references. The solicitor general called the case a regular tobacco road affair.
A contract to complete Decatur High School's stadium for 100000 dollars is to be awarded this afternoon. The agreement covers the stadium proper plus lighting and fencing pending separate arrangements. The steel work for the project was previously let to Decatur Iron & Steel.
An Australian Royal Air Force bomber crashed near Brisbane during a training flight tonight killing 16 crew members. The incident occurred while the aircraft was on a training mission over Queensland.

A Gadsden man named Lawrence Nathaniel Phillips, 22, faces execution by electric chair at Kilby Prison for the murder of Henry Louie, a laundyman. Governor James E. Folsom has twice granted reprieves, with a 11th scheduled attempt to carry out the death sentence after midnight, unless spared again.
