Viet Cong Attack Kills Eight at Pleiku Bases
Eight Americans died and at least 61 wounded as Viet Cong forces struck two large U.S. compounds at Pleiku in central Vietnam. At Camp Holloway seven Americans were killed and 48 wounded as aircraft were destroyed or damaged. A second assault targeted the U.S. advisory detachment at 2nd Army Corps headquarters, killing one and wounding another.
