Dr. G L Morelock of Nashville concludes his Central Methodist Church series this Sunday with a morning and evening service plus a three o’clock public session. He discusses stewardship of wealth, proper allocation for food and shelter, and the role of tithing to support church and allied causes.
Chicago scene reports Julius Rosenheim a 45 year old former investigator shot dead by three gunmen after meeting with the state attorney on racketeering and gambling ties. In Washington Sen Brookhart proposes Major General Smedley Butler for prohibition commissioner to clean up high society and enforcement.
A man with a club attacked Gold Belski on North Dearborn Street, striking her and escaping. Earlier, Mrs. Imacy Hartman, a maid for an architect, was assaulted by a similarly dressed assailant in another location. The incidents occurred in Chicago as police investigate the two separate assaults.
J G Romkey engineer of the National Airways System completed a 450 mile hop from Decatur to Bonne Terre Missouri in four hours and thirty minutes at 11 15 am to 3 45 pm in a two passenger mono coup plane. He is expected to return here.
C. R. Bates, flying solo from Gulfport Mississippi to Louisville Kentucky, stopped in Decatur for the night Friday arriving at 4 45 PM He previously spent eleven days here during a prior waterbound visit Bates praised the Leslie landing field and the friendly locals.

No charges yet filed. elder Stillman says he opens the bank at five am and was coerced. The Rocky Hill bank lies about ten miles from the Oakland bank robbed December 26.
With the close of the day the time limit for accepting applications for entry into the Morgan County Athletic Association cage meets remains February 1st. The secretary will accept any postmarked entry blank even if received on Monday. About fifteen teams are expected to enter the two events.
Announcement Saturday said a flying circus would occur Sunday afternoon at Leslie Field just north of the area. Several planes would fly passengers aloft on non stunt courses, offering rides to the public.

Alabama counties Clark and Baldwin act on primary qualifications. Clark votes 14 to 1 to let all qualified white electors vote and run. Baldwin votes 11 to 0 to lower bars. Both require supporters of the eventual nominee in the general election. Baldwin backs R B Vail for secretary of state. Blount to meet at Oneonta today. other meetings set for Autauga Prattville Feb 12 Green Eutaw Feb 4 and Lee Opelika Feb 4.
Rev. I. W. Myers, longtime Morgan County Baptist field worker, has been offered a state field worker position with the State Baptist Association. He has not announced a decision. If he accepts, his work will likely cover the northern part of the state.
Requisition papers irritate the sheriff as warrants stand for two persons who refuse to accompany him or a deputy. The governor of Alabama will be contacted to press the requisition and secure the offenders.
Seybourn Lynne, a well known young attorney, plans to enter the race for county solicitor. He studied at Alabama Polytechnic Institute and the University of Alabama and has worked with his father in legal study.

A mob near Ocilla Georgia beat to death and burned Jimmy Ervine after seizing him from Sheriff W E Tyler following accusations he attacked and killed a 14 year old white girl. The crowd then burned the body about ten miles from the scene as an inquest was expected to proceed and a jury to be chosen.
