Morgan County Justices of the Peace Failed to File 1965 Reports
A state audit finds at least four Morgan County justices of the peace did not file monthly reports for 1965 on criminal cases or fees. Only three JPs, Roy Bradford, Joe Thomas, and Mrs. Rho nie Arnold, filed reports as required. The audit notes missing reports for Judges William F. Clark, D M Dutton, R A Gamble, and J R Ransom, and that Neil B. Campbell and Joe Richards filed civil reports noting no criminal activity. The report questions Alabama Code provisions and notes the circuit court clerk held reports from only one JP. The audit did not determine the accuracy of fees listed.
