Southern Cal Trojans Poised For Rose Bowl Offensive Showcase

Southern California, defending Pacific Coast Conference champions under Jeff Cravath, guns for speed and scoring in a Rose Bowl clash. The Trojans rely on Bus Ter Stephens in a versatile single wing attack, with Jim Hardy steering a quick, balanced line. Tennessee counters with strong passing and driving power, but USC’s stutter play and formation trickery demand open, aggressive defense to curb the ground attack. Losses due to injuries dull USC depth from late season, with Crittenden, Romer, Gray unavailable and Callanan and Dreblow also out.
