Missionary Family To Spend Christmas In Decatur
The Gate Gute family missionaries to Guatemala return home for Christmas for the first time in five years. Rev Wayne Gute and wife Kathleen with children Ester Daniel Rebecca and David reside at 506 8th Ave SE Decatur. They describe Guatemala Christmas as Christ centered with no gift exchanges while Guatemala City mirrors American holiday excess. Mrs Gute praises Morgan County High School floats in the Decatur parade and recalls their work with Central American Mission aiding Indians and communities, plus a two day weekly teaching post at Southeastern Bible College in Birmingham.
