Dear Miss Dix on shrewishness and romance cures
Dorothy Dix offers practical advice for a self conscious woman who nags and seeks love. She argues faults stem from longing for acceptance and urges reform by dropping nagging and temper. A man asks about morbid optimism and life’s value with a pessimistic lover. Dix counsels liver health and resilience. A teen seeks female attention. Dix says looks matter little, cultivate personality, manners, and conversation.
