Two Soldier Brothers Held in Robberies
Clyde V. Hubbard aged 24 and Leonard L. Hubbard aged 19 were bound over to the Baldwin county grand jury on capital highway robbery charges in Bay Minette Alabama. Auto Overturns Drowns Child in Creek Near Union Springs
A three year old girl drowned when the car she rode in overturned on a curve and sank, as parents James W. Allison and his wife were en route to Union Springs for Christmas. The child slept in back and was found beneath the seat. The parents suffered pelvic injuries and neck and shoulder bruising, with both in satisfactory condition at a Montgomery hospital.

Miscegenation Case Is Tried In Mississippi
Ells ville Miss Dec 18 A 23 year old Navy veteran was convicted of miscegenation in what District Attorney Paul Swartzinger called the first such case in Mississippi history. Morgan county saw savings deposits rise in November while bank debits declined. The House committee released 7 pages of 1938 documents showing Hitler’s ties to British support for Nazi moves against Austria and Czechoslovakia.
