Trial Delayed For Rape Suspect Massey
The trial of Preston Reese Massey 19 Columbus Ga is recessed until Dec 30 after two alleged victims testified Tuesday. Massey pleaded guilty to raping a 10 year old babysitter and three Pensacola Florida housewives last June and July. He was visiting Pensacola while president of Troy State College freshman class last year.

Indictment in Disarm Made by Decatur Man Ben Carlile
Decatur resident Ben Carlile, 26, was indicted by a Morgan County grand jury on four counts of assault with a weapon and one count of grand larceny after allegedly aiming a pistol at four city officers during a search at his home on August 1. Carlile, previously convicted of disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, was arrested after threatening to kill officers Lt Frank Shafer Lt T W Hunter Phillip Weir and Dan Price who confronted him at his door around 3 p.m. He was jailed in the county facility.

A vacant six room house in the Berlin community was destroyed by fire early last night. Firemen reported the structure burned to the ground around 6. Gil bert Redding owned the building and blamed a delay when the truck arrived.
