Two Men Held In Courthouse Car Theft
Sheriff J Street Sandlin returned from Nashville with Melvin Potter and Shelley Partom charged with grand larceny in coin involving a car belonging to Kumpe Ayers of Moulton. The theft occurred Thursday while the machine was parked at the courthouse. Nashville police arrested them Saturday on information from the local sheriff. The car was recovered after the suspects admitted the theft. Ayers, former Lawrence County sheriff, accompanied the Morgan deputy to Nashville.
