World War veteran held for murder in five deaths

Athens Woman Killed in Bristol Train Truck Crash
Mrs. Turner Clem 33 a well known Athens resident died in a Bristol Virginia Tennessee crash when the truck she rode in with her husband collided with a Southern train near the city limits. Clem was driving the truck loaded with apples and pecans and did not see the approaching train. Her husband was seriously injured and may remain in Bristol hospital.
