Farm Bloc Senators Reject Compromise on Property Taxes
In Alabama, Farm bloc senators refused a compromise on property taxes as the Finance Committee adjourned again without votes. Sen. Robert T. Wilson delayed action, signaling ongoing talks while questioning inflexible constitutional tax rates and the viability of a partial classification plan for the 6.5 mill station tax. The House recesses until Thursday as a potential constitutional amendment is explored alongside a 25 percent flat rate option.
