Roden Demurrer Is Filed In Suit
A demurrer was filed in Circuit Court in two damage suits totaling 400 000 linked to the deaths of two pedestrians last June Curtis Huey Roden is named defendant in 200 000 suits for each decedent The filing argues the plaintiffs pleadings state conclusions of negligence and that the son appears to have been contributorily negligent Roden was convicted of first degree manslaughter and sentenced to 21 months in prison awaiting appeal and a new trial.
