Planning Switch Eyed By Limestone Officials
Limestone County officials plan a joint meeting with Athens Ardmore Elkmont and Mooresville to decide leaving the North Central Alabama Mental Health Planning Commission for TARCOG. Chairman Hammons cites TARCOG already handling Limestone’s regional planning and health planning integration. The panel would shift from North Central which currently serves Limestone and surrounding counties. The commission also transferred 6 148.41 from the general fund to the South Limestone Water System to fund county water line construction.
