Inflation Warnings Roil Capitol Yet No Immediate Danger
Washington observers warn of inflation potential driven by new government spending and pension boosts. Most experts expect 1950 to remain prosperous with high income and production, though disinflation lingers in key industries. Congress unlikely to grant broad price controls, while credit powers may face tweaks. Inflation risks hinge on pension costs and wage hikes, with steel and auto sectors watching for price adjustments.
