Manpower Training Plans Endangered
The acting director for health program development of the Appalachian Regional Commission warned that future health manpower training programs may lose funding. Joseph Napolitano, visiting Decatur for a site review of the Tri-County Appalachian Regional Health Planning Commission projects, called these programs an inappropriate use of Appalachian funds. He said the ARC will focus on rapid impact health care delivery projects, while the Tri County area remains heavily invested in manpower programs at Calhoun Junior College. The note ends with a reference to continuation on Page A-3.
