Seoul authorities deny exit visas to 41 Americans tied to the American Chamber of Commerce in Korea over unpaid taxes. The chamber protests arbitrary burdens as roughly 40 members are described as being held as individual hostages while the government calls the move routine in tax enforcement.

A Greyhound double decker overturned near Clays Ferry on U S Highway 25 about 14 miles south of Lexington. A passenger, identified as Mrs. Clara Hemphill of Knoxville Tennessee, died. At least 10 others were injured and taken to Richmond and Lexington hospitals. Police said a oncoming vehicle sideswiped the bus causing it to overturn and slide 325 feet.
Secretary Dulles said there are reliable reports that the Soviet Union has offered arms to some Middle East countries. He declined to name targets but indicated indications exist that offers may have been made, including possible references to Egypt.
Alabama lawmakers rushed toward adjournment and sent a million dollar school bond proposal to voters as a constitutional amendment. The Senate added ten million to total 84.59 million for public schools with allocations to Alabama, Auburn, four state teachers colleges and two Negro colleges, and other facilities. State officials argued better schools for Negroes could reduce calls for integration while integration petitions already surfaced in seven counties. The milk imports bill also advanced after Senate amendments.

Price Chenault and his wife were injured when their car collided with a school bus at the Alabama 36 and 33 intersection near Moulton. Their children suffered minor injuries while the bus driver, Lawrence Key, and the bus itself escaped serious harm. The Chenaults reside in Glenmont New York. Price is brother to Moulton Mayor P R Chenault.
Two gunmen who robbed a music store worker of 25 dollars and fired at his truck slipped through road blocks as authorities chased them. In Alabama, the Communications Workers strike against the Alabama Telephone Co. ends with settlement details unavailable. Milwaukee hosts the Northwest Synod heresy trial with Rev.
