Newcomer's Teen Club concept grows from parent concern
Phylliss Sidde along with Mrs. Joyce Ceci launched a Newcomer's Teen Club in Decatur inspired by moving families. Teens Randy Ceci and Douglas Sprado miss old friends, so mothers invite peers to meet at a Point Mallard Aquatic Center for a 6 to 9 pm swimming party, with future dances planned. Local leaders like Julian Walker back the effort, aiming to connect newcomers’ teens across town.
