Aviator Held for Probe of Air Bombings

Paul Montgomery, an aviator from Murphysboro Illinois, was arrested by Sheriff William Flanigan for investigation into airplane bombings that damaged mining properties near Providence Kentucky. A warrant had been issued in Dixon Kentucky and three men from the Kentucky coal fields provided potential evidence. Montgomery admitted flying early yesterday to sober up after a Sunday night of intoxication and said he saw a strange bomber plane but could not identify it.
