Backus Loses To Barreto In Televised Bout At MSG Felt Forum
Former welterweight champion Billy Backus loses to Miguel Barreto by 12 round majority decision in Madison Square Garden. Barreto circles and counterpunches to offset Backus left handed stance as judges tally 7-4-1, 9-2-1 and 6-6 before AP score of 7-4-1 for Barreto confirms the result.
