Hot And Dry Temperatures Continue Across Alabama
The text notes continued hot and dry weather over most of Alabama on August 1, with yesterday's highs from 96 in Mobile to 91 in Anniston and Huntsville. Decatur reached 95 at 3:30 p.m. No rainfall occurred in Alabama on Wednesday, though a line of thundershowers formed from West Central Alabama toward Birmingham early this morning. Other areas stayed clear with temperatures in the low to mid 70s, as a stationary cold front in Tennessee and a Gulf high-pressure ridge shape the forecast for potential shower activity in the northwest.
