Mr and Mrs Paul Peete announce the birth of a son at Decatur General Hospital yesterday afternoon. The six pound nine ounce baby was born at 5 12 p.m. in Decatur.

Outlook Friday little change with highs around 95 and lows near 70.
A $685,000 loan to the Cullman Electric Co-op to connect 250 new members was approved by the REA and announced in Washington. Senators Lister Hill and John Sparkman and Representatives Bob Jones and Carl Elliott announced the loan, which will also fund general system improvements across Cullman Morgan Winston Walker and Lawrence counties.
President Eisenhower told a crowded press conference at Gettysburg he feels better than after his June operation but not as well as a year ago. He plans to seek a full four year term and says the decision rests with the American people.
