Paul Ivar Wharton, 25, a clothing designer for film actresses, was shot by William Howard, 25 to 35, his chauffeur and former navy ensign. Howard was found dead later from an apparent self inflicted death. Henry E. Dolte, 38, a lecturer at the University of California Los Angeles, was probably fatally wounded.
