Two masked highwaymen robbed J. E. Matthews, Crowton merchant, of about 25 to 30 dollars after dusk on Friday. They fled into the darkness. deputies searched without a reliable description. The attack followed a burglary at R. L. Murphy’s store as investigators from the sheriff’s office joined a countywide effort to locate the culprits.
