Mindworth and Dip Thiet residents joined a town wide celebration marking the end of the war with parades, speeches, and cheers at the public school grounds. Bladworth also celebrated its Victory Bond success, surpassing the $56,000 allotment by subscribing a further $15,000, making it a leading community in Regina subdivision.
Influenza claims three residents in the Girvin area during mid November. Margaret Evelyn Loreney Dolan aged sixteen dies after illness and is interred in Girvin cemetery. Mary Washington Humphrey wife of C Y Humphrey dies at home Nov 13 and is buried in Girvin Cemetery. Richard Tomlinson, a Bank of Canada teller, dies at his employer’s home after a brief illness and is to be buried at St John’s Church Girvin.
