The house of commons has dissolved with an election scheduled for October after the December 6, 1921 balloting produced 117 Liberals, 40 Conservatives and 44 other results. Cabinet reshuffle names Geo H Bolvin as customs minister and Geo N Gordon as immigration minister with several changes in Ottawa and Montreal influence noted. Sup Brinkman and crew returned to town after inspection by Engineer E. W. James who reported the waterworks dam restoration entirely satisfactory. The upgraded structure can handle five times the former water volume.
Dauphin Scout Banquet Shapes Winter Plans
Combined Dauphin scout troops and cub packs gathered in the Church of England basement for a banquet organized by the Ladies Auxiliary under Mrs. W. J. McConnell. The evening featured musical items by Mrs. Herrick and Mr. G. H. Crimes, an address by Rev. A. E. Cousins, and scout drill led by A. C. Wade with assistant Godfrey Gray. Patrol leaders included Fred May of the Bulldog and Leslie Malcovich Sr. of the Beaver patrol. The event focused on organizing winter activities amid strong turnout, following a preliminary meeting where Bishop of Brandon spoke to the boys.

Accident on Wakefield Avenue Injures Wm Buchannon

Pioneer Settler of High Bluff Passes in Manitoba
George Cadman, pioneer settler of Manitoba, died September 6 in Portage la Prairie. He came from Oxford County, Ontario in 1870, reached Winnipeg, then moved to High Bluff where he claimed land along the Assiniboine River. Cadman helped build a church, served as school trustee and Portage la Prairie councillor, and lived on his homestead 47 years before moving to Portage la Prairie. Survived by wife Margaret Owens Cadman and four daughters.
