Death of Joseph P Grenon in Winnipegosis Manitoba
Joseph P. Grenon, a prominent northern Manitoba figure, died in Winnipegosis at age 41 from influenza and pneumonia. A Fort William, Ontario native, he helped build the local economy as Armstrong Trading Co manager, served as Massey River reeve and Winnipegosis mayor, and was a Conservative political influencer. He is survived by his widow, two daughters, and two sons. funeral Saturday drew many from Dauphin Portage la Prairie and Winnipeg. The service was conducted by Rev. Father Brachet at the Roman Catholic church, with numerous wreaths.

Snowstorm blocks roads trains and schools
The season's biggest snowstorm blanketed roads and streets with several feet of snow on Monday causing temporary traffic delays and train holds. Rural schools kept children in buildings overnight. no fatalities were reported.

Directors Hold Meeting for Children’s Aid Society
The monthly directors meeting, postponed by the storm, was held in the town hall. Mrs. Wallace was added as director. The social committee praised the dances, and the visiting committee praised the home. Fourteen children are in care, with more to arrive this week. A special meeting for directors and interested parties is set for Monday March 29 at 8 p.m. in the rest room to discuss society operations.
