Trainmen's Ball Brings Dauphin Society Together
The thirteenth annual B. of R. T. Ball drew 35 guests from Dauphin and beyond to the fire hall hall with rose shaded lighting and mirrored walls. Tollman's Winnipeg orchestra provided music and a supper by the members wives followed by orderly service and courteous guests from Swan River Kamsack Brandon and Winnipeg among others.

Obituaries Note Two Local Residents Pass Quietly
Herbert Arthur Cuttle accountant of the Bank of Commerce died on the 28th after a short illness at age 60. Funeral from St Pauls church on the 1st with Rev H P Barrett officiating and several attendees named. Olaf Olson longtime district resident died on the 4th aged 66. widow and two daughters survive. Funeral service in the Methodist church Friday at 2 30 and interment at Riverside cemetery.

Creamery Change Hands in Dauphin Transfer
The Dauphin Milling and Creamery Co sold the creamery end of its business to Crescent Creamery Co of Winnipeg. Price not disclosed but reportedly over 100000 dollars. New owners will expand Dauphin operations and add cold storage for poultry and eggs, while milling remains with Mr. Code who may sell it soon.

Division Police Headquarters Set in Five Towns
Division headquarters for free police will be established in five towns with a main HQ in Winnipeg announced by J. G. Rattray commissioner of police. Each town will get a detachment of constables for proper supervision. The chosen divisional HQ towns are Brandon Portage la Prairie Morden Minnedosa and Dauphin.

Local Farmers Win Prizes at Winnipeg Soil Products Expo
At the Winnipeg Soil Products exhibition last week local farmers earned prizes. French Bros won 1st with Victory oats in Northwestern District and 3rd in swepstates for province. Maynard Bros took 4th. R. C. McLeod earned ithi for Marquis wheat. Alex Paul placed 6th. F. Smith earned 2nd for sheaf oats.
