Arthur Lazenby appeared before Police Magistrate Hawkins on the lith inst charged under the Manitoba Temperance Act. He was found in Main street with a bottle of whiskey in his hip pocket and fined 230 dollars plus costs.
Dauphin County L held its quarterly meeting on February 12 in the 10.0.P. hall with W. J. Swain presiding. Officers elected for 1920 include W. D. Strang as County Master and R. E. Forbes as Deputy. A banquet for over 45 members followed at the Anglican church basement.
A town meeting called by the mayor formed an executive committee to prepare for a flu return. Key members include H. N. Macneil, R. C. Smith, Miss Street, Mrs. Bene dickson, and others. Members will organise nursing, diet, and hospital committees and report suspected cases to Miss Street or the rest room. Authorities urge treating a cold as flu like symptoms with bed rest, fluids, and staying open to avoid crowds and keep fit. On the 12th inst at Dauphin Mr and Mrs Wyman Arthurs welcomed a son. On Feb 13 at Dauphin Mr and Mrs John Gladdish welcomed a son. Laughlin Currie wed Pearl Mooney on Feb 17 at Dauphin with Rev J A Haw officiating. Robt Budd Murray wed Ethel Lillian Twose Feb 16 at the Presbyterian Church. Mrs Wm Armstrong died at Victoria B C on Feb 13 at age 74, formerly of Dauphin.

Nearby points report favorable results including Gilbert Plains Presbyterians surpassing 1600 dollars, Dauphin Plains near 1000, Ethelbert English doubling allotment, and Ruthenian congregation meeting its goal.

The legislature debated amendments to the Manitoba Aggests Act with Attorney-General Thomas H. Johnson stating jail terms will be mandatory for all breaches, removing any option for a fine in future enforcement.
