Manitoba Man Convicted For Killing Moose In Off Season
On July 20 Joseph Grogelle of Ste Amelie appeared before Police Magistrate Robert Doucette at McCreary charged with killing a moose in close season. He was convicted and fined twenty dollars or six months in jail. One week to pay. Prosecutor W. J. Joyce of the Manitoba Provincial Police.

Races Spark Fast Time and Fair Views Across Circuit
The fastest time on the circuit occurred at the races and drivers praised the track. Photographer Reeves captured fine stock parade shots and other events. Both baseball games were won by Dauphin while Gilbert Plains and Grandview contended. Secretaries D. F. Wilson and J. W. Robertson visited from Fork River and Gilbert Plains. The stunts of the airplane failed to thrill the crowd. The German guns drew attention as Highland bagpipes and other features failed to impress. The midway promenade drew crowds and the merry round profited over a thousand dollars in two days. About a fifth of the local Orange brethren traveled to Roblin for the 12th celebration. Mr. Geo Buch appan was warhorse and mounted on a historic white horse.
