The Fx town council met Monday with Mayor Malcolm presiding. Members discussed the housing scheme loan and its impact on borrowing powers until guidance is received. They reviewed street regrading and travel, ordered a traffic by law draft, and noted a school levy increase to 47 665.70.

Also records a July 7th marriage at Dauphin manse and a July 7th wedding linking Neil Cowan and Jessie Bates. One obituary notes Thomas H. Ramary of Sifton aged 62.
Two mounted guns captured by the Ports Third Highlanders have arrived from military headquarters at Ottawa. The guns are mounted and will be on exhibition at the fair grounds during the week.
The school levy amounts to 45.04 dollars with an increase of about 15 000 dollars over last year totaling six mills on the tax.
The supporters of D J Hill the Farmers' candidate in Ste Rose constituency have gathered funds to challenge the election of Joseph Hamelin with bribery alleged as one of the charges.
Mr. W. A. Eastwood of Winnipeg acting clerk of the course promises an exciting exhibition with some of the country’s best horses entered. Races are expected to thrill the crowd and keeps spectators on their feet.
Tuesday sports day at Gilbert Plains drew many spectators from Dauphin. The baseball tournament highlighted the event with Dauphin taking first place and Grandview finishing second. The Dauphin young ladies also won their game.
The Good Roads Association announces a convention in Dauphin on Monday July 28 to discuss road building and the formation of a District Good Roads association. Organizers invite members and local leaders to attend and plan regional improvements.
Mr and Mrs L J Clement announce the engagement of their daughter Lillian M to Mr Isaac Johnston. The marriage will take place on Wednesday July 14 at Dauphin.
All quiet after the election. Crops are promising but rain would help. Stevens & Lord have closed their business with Lord running the garage and Stevens traveling east. Mr J C Hamilton and daughter Miss Mary depart Thursday for Montreal and the Thousand Islands. Ochre’s second annual celebration is Friday the 16th with a big baseball tournament and athletic events. many attend the Dauvhin fair and races.
An amendment to the Post Office Act sets the Canada registered mail fee at ten cents per item from July 15 1920. The public is urged to prepay postage and registration. A town hall hop will be held on Thursday July 8 in the Town Hall under Lieut Stuart Widmeyer Chapter O D E McMurrays orchestra with dancing from 9 to 12 pm admission 75 cents.
