Manitoba Agricultural Societies Convention in Winnipeg
The Manitoba Agricultural Societies convention met in Winnipeg January 12 14 and 15 with about 120 delegates including John McKillop Geo Parker and Dr Gunne from Dauphin and C E Heaslip and D D McDonald. Sessions covered livestock improvement corn and alfalfa production and set the 1925 Dauphin Fair dates July 9 10 and 11. Ramsay Wright bondholders held a meeting with Robson as chair approving the Committee’s work and hearing a financial report from Hawkins. Presbyterian semi jubilee celebration in Dauphin honored the churchs 25th anniversary with Dr R G Scott and an all day dinner for over 400 members reflecting on early days and the churches growth.

Bigamy charge in Dauphin cases continued
Leonard Cameron, recently moved to Dauphin, faced P.M. Hawkins on a bigamy charge. Quong Long and Fred Quong Face Manitoba Temperance Charge
Quong Long appeared before Magistrate Hodgkinson at Kelwood on the 15th, pleaded guilty to infraction of the Manitoba Temperance Act, and was fined 200 dollars plus costs. Fred Quong appeared before Magistrate Doucette at McCreary for the same offence and also paid 200 dollars plus costs, with two months imprisonment as the alternative. Provincial Police prosecuted.
