Bicycle licensing to curb thefts approved by town council
The Deuphis Town Council, at its Friday session, approved bicycle licensing starting New Year with a proposed 25 cent annual fee. The Finance Committee also recommended a 50 dollar license for social labs. Sup t Cooll reported strong wood quality for the power house, noting purchases of 1742 cords of poplar and 195 cords of spruce in two weeks ending December 1. The council also decided to obtain public liability insurance for the skating rink. Attending were Mayor McDonald and Councillors McLean Solo ton Puchelski Rameden and Cowtun.

Former Dauphin Resident Buried at Virden Man
Funeral services were held in Virden Manitoba for Mrs H Kerr who died at her home Saturday. Rev G W Abernethy United Church minister from Souris Manitoba officiated. She was a former Dauphin resident and sister of Mrs J Fichaud and Miss Viola Wecks. Born Homefield Manitoba, married in Dauphin in 1916. Family moved to Melville by 1928 after residences in Virden and Dauphin. Survived by husband daughter Bernice six brothers and four sisters.

Funeral Services Held December 1st For Adam Pawlicki
Funeral services were held on December 1 at the Roman Catholic Church in Dauphin for Adam Pawlicki 27 eldest son of Mr and Mrs Antoni Pawlicki of Valley River. He died November 24 at General Hospital Winnipeg. He spent most of his life in Valley River and was active in community affairs. Survived by his parents four brothers Philip Kazimer Edward Alvin and three sisters Florence at home Mrs B Kalichuk Ashville Mrs M Rudkeywich Fork River and many relatives. Pallbearers were his four brothers Joe Wolfe and Ignace Pawticki. Interment at Riverside cemetery with Rev W J Holloway officiating.

Local youths reprimanded for car valve cap thefts
