Dauphin Music Pupils Present Noted Recital
Dee and senior pupils in plenoforte and vocal music under Prof Williamson gave two artful exhibitions in Dauphin Town Hall. The program featured Mendelssohn concerto with Miss Johnson and Mixx Williamson, Liszt Liebestraum No.3 by Miss Sander, Bach Gounod Ave Maria by Miss Sanderson, and a Bach Beethov en minuet encore by Master Phil Smorden. Diplomas of Associateship from the London College of Music were awarded to several students.

Silverwood Wins Dauphin Wharf Contract for Crib Work
Isaac Silverwood receives Ottawa notice that his tender for the Dauphin Beach wharf reconstruction is accepted. The plan calls for removing the damaged pier portion and replacing it with crib work filled with stone. The structure will be 40 feet shorter in the right angle extension with two feet of stone added to the top of the former approach. Operations to begin within two weeks.

Elks Memorial Service Fills Dauphin Theatre
Dauphin Lodge No. 57 held its Elks Memorial service last Sunday night with full capacity attendance. Exalted Ruler W. G. Cameron presided as Mrs. Peebles played the organ. J A Bracken of Brandon delivered the address “Our Absent Brothers” recalling Royal Burritt’s message from Winnipeg. The program included solos by Mrs. Beetham and Mrs. E. Herrick, a duet by Messrs North and Pilgrim, and readings by A. F. McKenzie. The Elks Band accompanied hymns ending with O God our help in ages past.

The Dauphin Government Liquor Store was broken into on Tuesday with access gained by a two foot square hole in the door.
