By Law Prohibits Gasoline Benzine in Glass Containers
A town council meeting passed amendments to the building by law restricting gasoline and benzine in glass containers. The rules ban storing more than one quart in glass and forbid selling gasoline or benzine to anyone using glass containers. Immediate effect requires vendors to refuse such sales.
Trophies To Be Presented At Annual Banquet
Dauphin chamber of commerce will receive two trophies from the Canadian chambers of commerce at its annual banquet on January 12 in the town hall. Stan ley N. Dauphin town set a new yearly record in 1949 with 123 total sewer and water connections by the town engineer department after 109 house and 14 business connections plus 13 storm sewers. At year start 240 premises were on mains but unconnected. proposed seven year installments for owner pay. The matter was referred to the sewer and water committee for review.

Legislation Sought For Municipal Bus Contract In Dauphin

New Feeders to Improve Commercial Power Service in Dauphin
George Scott of the Manitoba power commission told the Dauphin town council that new feeders now serve the north and south ends, with a standby line to the hospital to prevent long outages. In an emergency, domestic customers would be cut off temporarily.
