The Dauphin-Ochre School Area No 1 board voted unanimously to build a new four room school in Sifton within two years. A previous plan to add two rooms next year was rejected in favor of a complete replacement. The resolution will be on record for the board meeting two years hence when action can be considered.

Three Dauphin youths jailed for two-year break-in terms
Three Portage la Prairie juveniles aged 17 and 15 were sentenced to two years each after facing 33 break-in charges. They admitted to several offences including three night-time break-ins on November 18 at J J Crowe Co, B A Oil, and C W Smith cement works on First Avenue N E. Items stolen were minimal, with stamps and a spotlight recovered by police.

Dauphin Forms Dual Teen Canteen Groups for Saturdays
Dauphin youth committee launches two Teen Canteen groups in the DMCC building. Fifty 13 to 15 year olds vote for the plan and arrange weekly programs with 7 to 9 pm hours. A 16 to 20 year old senior group also forms naming Club Casbah with 9 to 11 45 pm sessions.

The fifth annual rally of the northern district federation of Manitoba credit unions was held Nov. 14 in the Orange hall in Dauphin with good attendance. Credit union societies of Roblin Grandview Sifton Spruce Creek and Dauphin Plains were represented. W J Miller chaired. Reports showed growth in membership and finances. Dauphin Agricultural Society Names 19 Directors
Nineteen of the twenty directors for the Dauphin Agricultural Society for 1950 were named at a Monday night meeting in the D.M.C.C. Industrial Hall. The board increases to twenty, with six new faces and two women directors, who will select a third woman director. The group plans a December 3 reorganization meeting to name officers and committee chairs and appoint delegates to the Western Fair in Winnipeg in January.
