Pioneering resident James C Hamilton of Ochre River dies
James Calvin Hamilton longtime Ochre River resident and community figure died Aug 7 after extended illness. Born March 13, 1861 in Iroquois Ontario he moved to Manitoba in 1898 with family. Survived by wife nine children including Marvin Alton Roy Charles William and four daughters plus thirteen grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral Aug 9 at family home officiated by Rev Dr Burns with interment at Ochre River Cemetery.
