Preparations for the Dauphin Agricultural Society Fair are complete under the guidance of the Fair committee. A feature list includes baby show livestock judging vegetable canning prizes and a grand parade with decorated automobiles. Star attractions include Mr. Rivtoul’s artists and a full sports program.
The Quality Store offers a large range of dress goods in Voiles Muslins and Foulards all in dress lengths with no two alike. It features the Knox waist latest Georgette Crepe de Chine Voiles and a perfect fit with a dress making parlor in connection.
Mrs K Newcombe and two dren of Winnipeg visit Mrs J L Bowman this week. Miss McKay from Bank of Ottawa stays with Miss Freda Smith at Mozee Inn. Mr and Mrs Hughes and daughter from Winnipeg guest Mrs J N McDonald. Miss Mary Playford returns to metropolis. H Short of Shoal Lake visits Mrs Robt Hawkins at Oak collage. Choir outing by St Pauls church praised. Scott's restaurant dance well attended. Miss Gertrude and Miss Margaret Johnston camp at Uneedsa Hest. many campers plan to town for the fair. Kathleen Struthers of Brandon visits Mrs J G Struth ers. D Walker of Winnipeg and Sergt Anderson of Minnedosa guest Uneeda Rest cottage. Misses Caldwell and Dina Playford break camp. Playford returns to Winnipeg. Knircks depart for Winnipeg. T G Edwards and Isabel open camp at Seldom Inn with Mrs Edwards sister Mrs Robinson of Toronto. Miss Chambers of Winnipeg guest of Mrs Wallwin at Loon Lodge. Fred Davis and family relocate to their Gil bert Plains cottage. Fred famed as an expert fisherman. J A Ball improves his cottage with a veranda for eight cats. Jim Willis lands a 40 inch jack fish, over 20 pounds. Bert Bond loses a calf to an auto on Sunday. Beach crowds peak as fair weather brings drivers from across the country.
Mrs. M Sutherland secretary of the Convalescent Soldiers Home Winnipeg reports grateful thanks from the Board of the I O D E Convalescent Home for a donation of 30 dozen eggs. The home is full on both floors and some boys are still recovering, making the eggs a timely need for egg-nogs.
Mr. F. L. Peskitt sells the west half of 925-18 Dauphin to Kuba Riz of Valley River. Peskitt bought the Bewell half on the Wilson river. Nicholson and Hawkins handled the sale. A. E. Iredale sold the house and lot at the corner of Ver million street and 6th avenue to Mr. J. Woodin.
At Dauphin on August 1 a daughter was born to Mr and Mrs W A McMillan. Also at Dauphin on August 4 a daughter arrived for Mr and Mrs Neil Wilkinson. On August 8 a son was born to Mr and Mrs James McClarty at Dauphin.

Corp Griffiths of the Garland Juveniles described his POW experiences in Germany. He spoke of cruelty seen by prisoners, praised Red Cross work, and urged continued support. The Garland Juveniles contributed a concert, Rev Dr de Mattos chaired, and collections benefited the Great War Veterans association and the Red Cross.
