Woman Declared Insane in Local Court Case
Mrs. Jennie Jones about 50 was declared insane Tuesday in Justice Campbell's court and taken to Crawfordsville by Marshal William L. Moore. Neighbors and friends had reported odd behavior and threats. She resisted the marshal before being moved to county jail for safe keeping until papers for placement in a home for the insane are completed.

Bert Martin Dies After Prolonged Illness in Louisville
Bert Martin died Wednesday night in Louisville after years of tuberculosis and a stint at Waverly Hills hospital. Born March 15, 1873 near Potato Creek, he was married to Lizzie Harris, mother of three, and survived by his mother Sarah, three sisters and two brothers. The body will reach Crawfordsville today and funeral arrangements are pending.

William Wilson longtime East Chicago police officer died after a weeklong illness. His funeral was held Monday at the Methodist Church with services by Rev Stanforth.
