Harley Cosby farm hand on the Conley B Long farm near Colfax was found dead in a barn from hanging, death occurring about 10 o clock Saturday. He was 24, son of Newton Cosby of New Market and Miss Alina Martz before marriage. Funeral held Monday at 9 a.m. at Aunt Mrs Douglas Mitchell home, then burial at Freedom cemetery near Waveland. Mrs. Roscoe Bair Sent Home From Hospital
Mrs. Roscoe Bair returned to her home from the Methodist hospital in Indianapolis yesterday evening in a Hunt ambulance from Crawfordsville. She was accompanied by her sister Miss Ada Waldron a nurse from Indianapolis. Mrs Bair underwent a surgical operation two weeks ago today and is feeling much better.

Mrs. Merle DeLong, hospitalized in Indiana polis for goiter treatment, is improved after a Monday minor operation. She will return to her parents Mr. and Mrs. Aniel Booker next week and stay four to six weeks before the regular goiter removal procedure.

Band Master Vanzant relocates band stand on Main Street
After damaging a lamp post and hindering traffic during summer concerts the EW Band led by Band Master Vanzant moved the band stand to the library lawn for the rest of the season. A new, sturdier stand reduced street obstruction. A Clint Coleman farm barn near Frankfort burned in a storm causing a $7,000 loss as 1.63 inches of rain fell in an hour.

Two Dead and Four Injured in Boone County Collision
Mrs. Melvin Dickerson 35 of Thorntown died and her husband was fatally injured when their car carrying four children was struck by a northbound interurban at Pike Boone County six miles north of Lebanon. The children were lightly hurt and the Dickersons were taken to Witham Memorial Hospital. The surviving children are Dorothy Jerrell Chester and James with James, 18 months, suffering a skull wound but expected to recover.

Four Hurt In Auto Wreck Near Darlington
Mr and Mrs Dan W Simms and Mr and Mrs Judge Larry of Lafayette were injured when their car struck a ridge near Shannondale, veered across the road and hit a telephone pole pinning them beneath. Simms, a noted Indiana attorney, aided coal conspiracy prosecutions in Indianapolis. They were en route to an Indiana State Bar Association meeting at the Indianapolis Country Club and were taken to New Ross after treatment. The car was badly damaged and the trip from Lafayette to Darlington was completed in about thirty minutes prior to the crash.

Chalmers and Track Collision Near Thorntown
A Chalmers touring car owned by O R McDonald of near Shannondale collided with a truck driven by Jesse Wetherald of Thorntown three miles southwest of Thorntown. Both drivers escaped injury as they traveled in opposite directions and the truck driver was blinded by lights from the smaller car. The Chalmers suffered a bent front axle and frame with broken front wheels.

Frankfort Man Killed by Fall After Storm
Alfa Snyder a 24 year old Frankfort resident was killed when he was thrown from a wagon as frightened horses fled a storm. The wagon had sought shelter in a barn but lightning struck, and the wheels passed over Snyder as the horses bolted. Frank Malsbury of Indianapolis visited his brother George Malsbury and family.
