Longtime Darlington resident Abraham H. Bowers, born December 3, 1842, died after a monthlong illness. He served as Franklin Township trustee, built the town elevator, helped form the Peoples Banking Co., chaired local projects, and was a devoted church and family man honored at a church funeral.
