Man Claims Guerrilla Group Recruited Him to Kill Ford and Kennedy
John Clayton Massey, 32, unemployed service station attendant, told FBI agents in Ocala he was recruited by a guerrilla group armed with rifles and rockets to assassinate President Ford and Senator Kennedy. Massey, held on $100,000 bond for conspiracy to kill the President, denied intent and asked reporters not to believe the tale. Bail set at $100,000. psychiatric evaluation ordered. officials have no corroborating evidence beyond Massey’s claim.
