Miami River shows jaunty fictle tugboats guiding freighters along a five mile stretch between harbor and upstream terminals. Tugs navigate Biscayne Bay to pick up ships near the port basin, then row them upriver for unloading and reposting. Two tugs usually assist each large vessel, one at bow and one at stern.
