Retired VEPCO employee and World War II veteran. Survived by wife Belvedean Crocker Shelton two daughters Jerry Rice Celia Shelton and sister Madelyn Smith. Funeral arrangements incomplete.

Funeral for Constantinos Aralios held Sunday in Charlottesville
The funeral for Constantinos Ralis Aralios known as Dino, 50, formerly of Danville, will be Sunday at 2 p.m. from Swicegood Funeral Chapel with Rev. Robert T. Athas officiating. He died Friday at Martha Jefferson Hospital after three years of declining health. He was born in Rhodes Greece and was a member of St Peters Greek Orthodox Church and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He owned Dino's Restaurant on Union Street before retirement and formerly ran the West Main Cafe. He is survived by his wife Lena Brown Aralios, Charlottesville, a step-daughter Benne Lee Pritchett, Charlottesville, two step-sons Eugene Shreve and Elton Dwain Shreve, a cousin Mollie Stephanos, and five step-grandchildren. The family resides at 918 Stokes Street.

Common Cause of Virginia reported that three of every four dollars in the 1977 statewide election campaign came from large contributions of 500 or more. The group said candidates received just over 2 million dollars, with more than 1.5 million from large givers. Republican John Dalton’s report noted 160 donors giving 1000 or more, totaling 400,000 of his 1,005,633 contributions.
