Welfare Board Hears City DSS Overview in Danville

The Virginia forecast calls for sunny pleasant conditions Friday with highs in the mid 60s to mid 70s, fair Friday night in the 40s, and a mostly sunny warm Saturday with highs in the upper 70s. Mrs Elsie Dobson 82 dies in nursing home

Elsie Dobson aged 82 died Thursday morning in Bennett's Nursing Home after months of declining health. A Wisconsin native, she was married to Robert Dobson, who died August 29, 1973. The last survivor of her immediate family, she will be buried Friday at 4 p.m. at Highland Burial Park, with services by Rev. J.B. Hutcherson. Her body lies in state at Wrenn-Yealts Funeral Home.

Ralph Browning Hunt 58 of Ridgeway died early Thursday morning in Martinsville hospital. A Buchanan County native and World War II veteran, he worked for Henry County Plywood Co.
