Mrs Ruth Llewellyn Adams 85 of 24 Farrer St died after brief illness. Lived in Danville 50 years, operated J H Adams Grocery. Episcopal Church of the Epiphany member. Survived by son W Kent Adams, daughter Doris A. Smith, five grandchildren, two great grandchildren. Graveside Friday 2 p.m. Highland Burial Park. Averett YWCA Get Grants From Virginia Foundations

Revised Draft Of Pact Slated For November
The revised draft of the 1972 water-sewer pact between Danville and Pittsylvania County aims for mid November approval. Clarence Edmonds of the PCSA said Norfolk engineer Overman is preparing a proposed agreement after incorporating comments. The six member committee will review the draft in a forthcoming session to decide if a complete package can be submitted to the localities.
