Caswell County Board of Commissioners rejected a two year food stamp program offered by the State Department of Social Services citing funding concerns for after the two year term. The panel approved a separate bid for Milton Community Development Center renovations pending Milton Town Board approval with priority roof work to protect against winter weather. Bids total about 27,490 dollars and include gutter repairs and court complex work. The board also proclaimed November 14 to 20 as Children's Book Week and approved an amended Budget Ordinance to boost social services funding. A resident urged parking restrictions on a street by Hanover Mills and the board advised signing a petition. An ambulance mutual aid resolution was discussed to improve response times, and the new Caswell Health Department director Tom Johnson introduced himself.
