Cotton Futures Slip on Rain and Drought Outlook in 1969
Prices of active cotton futures fell after early declines, with the market easing on profit taking as rain in Texas tempered demand. July contracts rose later on buying interest amid renewed concern over drought in the U.S. 1.03 million bales turnover noted, exports at 82,000 bales for the week. The 1970 crop was reported near 10.7 million bales as drought worries persisted.
