Soviet Role in Oil as Weapon During Middle East War
Analysis suggests Moscow provided encouragement for using oil as pressure during Round 4 of the Middle East conflict. Soviet advisers were expelled from Egypt amid detente shifts, yet Kremlin Arab specialists reportedly promoted oil as a weapon to threaten Western economies.
