Five-Year Vo-Tech Plan for Pittsylvania School Board
The Pittsylvania County School Board approved a five-year plan for a new Dry Fork vocational school aimed at youths and adults. Funds include a $311,000 grant, $1,095,669 local funds, $1,193,185 from the Vocational Education Act, and a $750,000 three percent Literary Fund loan. Target operation is September 1979 with projected 3,562 student enrollments by 1983 in programs across agriculture, business, distributive, home economics, health, and trades.

Born October 22, 1896, he retired from Marshall Kindell Lumber Co. and was Baptist. Survived by wife Emma Lorene Dillard, daughter Alice Collins of Danville, stepson Charlie Eugene White of Danville, stepdaughter Oliva Gayle Farmer of Glenwood community, and three grandchildren. Services Friday morning at Townes Memorial Chapel with Rev Barber Jr. officiating. interment Floral Hills Memorial Gardens. Body at Townes Funeral Home, viewing 7-8 tonight. otherwise at 302 Rhodenizer Street.
